A Russian shaded cloisonné enamel cigarette case, 11th Artel, Moscow, 1908-1917. The rounded rectangular case enameled in the Art Nouveau taste with stylized tulips in triangular fields of lapis and of ducks egg blue, all within borders with chains of pale peach rosettes against translucent pine green against an aubergine ground, the four corners with foliate buds and scrolls, with green glass pushpiece and gilded silver thumbpiece. Dimensions: 4 5/8 x 3 1/8 in. (11.8 x 8 cm).
