A Russian porcelain figurine of a goose,Gardner Porcelain Factory, circa 1850-1870. The gray ring-necked goose shown feeding, depicted on a naturalistic oval base with molded & painted with grasses, the goose moulded with detailed webbed feet, the underside with the impressed name Gardner in Cyrillic capitals, with St. George similarly impressed, the number 2 or letter Z in the paste, & ‘105’ in brown overglaze on the outer edge of the foot. Dimensions: 2 x 3 1/2 inches (5.1 x 8.9 cm).
