A group of eight telegrams in Russian and French sent by the Grand Duke and Tsesarevich Georgy Alexandrovich (1871-1899), then living in Abastumani to alleviate the symptoms of tuberculosis, to his French tutor Ferdinand Thormeyer in Saint Petersburg. The telegrams demonstrate the Grand Duke’s interest in photography and some of his other interests prior to his death in August 1899. Various sizes, about 7 x 9 1/4 in.
