Description

A porcelain double jardinière, Miklashevsky, circa 1839-1861. Shaped rectangular, painted on one side in the Troubadore style with scenes of late medieval romancing couples in the landscape, the opposite side with brightly colored birds & bouquets, the ends with gilt coral ornament on panels of graduated magenta & powder blue, raised on shell feet & with shaped handles with gilt scrolling shell ornament.

Width over handles 11 7/8 in. (30.2 cm); height 4 7/8 in. (12.4 cm); depth 5 3/8 in. (13.5 cm)
