A pair of Russian gold, translucent enamel, and ruby cufflinks, St. Petersburg, 1908-1917. In Art Nouveau taste, the links of navette form, enamelled translucent white over a hatched sunburst ground and with rose cut rubies set off center, all within interwoven rose gold borders, with arched arms and lozenge-form toggles, struck with italic Cyrillic or Latin letters MA of an unidentified master, possibly Mikhail Aleksandrov, and 56 gold fineness standard (equivalent to 14K).
