A Russian gilded silver and shaded cloisonné enamel three-piece tea set, Ovchinnikov, Moscow, 1899-1908. Comprising a teapot, covered sugar bowl, and milk jug, the exteriors enameled with arched panels with brightly-colored stylized flowers against alternating cream and pale pink grounds, set with cinnamon brown borders applied with scroll and bead ornament, the upper rim with stylized blossoms against a pale green ground, the teapot and lid of the sugar bowl with enamel ornament set with gold paillons. Struck with maker’s mark and 84 silver fineness standard. Height of teapot 6 1/2 in. (16.5 cm).
