A Russian gold-mounted agate snuffbox, Otto Samuel Keibel, St Petersburg, circa 1820. The circular box with hinged lid, the gold cagework mount chased with a vignette of Leda and the Swan on the cover and smaller panels with frolicking putti, with scrolling gold between, struck with Keibel’s mark, St Petersburg town mark and the mark of St Petersburg assay master Yashinov (active 1795-1826).
