A Russian Imperial porcelain Easter egg with a floral miniature, Imperial Porcelain Factory, St. Petersburg, late 1850s to 1860s. The front of the egg centered with a miniature study of a bouquet including a large pink cabbage rose, daisies, a varicolor tulip, and greenery, all against a graduated sepia ground and contained within a gilt border engraved with a laurel band, the reverse with a fine pattern of gilt tulips, daisies, and foliage, both apertures with polished gilt bands. Height 2 ¾ in. (7 cm).
