A Russian gilded silver and shaded cloisonné enamel serving spoon, Vasily Agafonov, Moscow, ca. 1899-1908. The back of the oval bowl enameled with brightly colored stylized tulips, pomegranates, and foliage in a heart- or anthemia-pattern, all against a stippled gilt ground, reserved within a white beaded border, the twist handle enameled with geometric ornament in shades of blue and white, with mitre finial.
