A Fabergé two-color gold and guilloché enamel pencil holder, workmaster Andrei Adler, St. Petersburg, 1908-1917. The oblong pencil of flattened oval section, enameled translucent, opalescent white over a wavy engine-turned ground, the collar mount of green gold chased with a laurel band pattern, the mounts of yellow gold, struck with maker’s mark and 56 gold quality standard (equivalent to 14K). Length 3 in. (7.8 cm).
