A Russian porcelain Easter egg, almost certainly by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, St. Petersburg, circa 1890-1900. The pale celadon green ground egg decorated with stems of pale magenta marguerite daisies, the upper aperture with a gilt blossom border, the lower aperture with a gilt band. Height: 3 3/4 in. (9.5 cm).

At the Imperial Porcelain Factory, these muted pastel glazes were used as grounds for floral or Russian Style ornament.
