A Russian silver gilt, cloisonné and plique-à-jour enamel bud vase, Antip Kuzmichev, Moscow, circa 1895. Decoration in Egyptian-inspired ornament, the horn-shaped vase on a spreading foot, the exterior enameled with stylized lotus blossoms in turquoise blue, navy, white, and red, the body pierced and enameled with brightly colored translucent enamels in plique-à-jour, including blossoms and fan-shaped bands of fish-scale ornament around the upper rim. Struck with maker’s mark and 88 silver standard. Height: 3 5/8 in. (9.3 cm).
