A French or Russian colorless cut glass tumbler with sulphide profile portrait of Alexander I, possibly Montecenis or Baccarat, circa 1820-1840. The profile portrait with indistinct maker’s mark at lower left, the image showing the Emperor without the laurel crown seen on Andreiu’s model, the exterior of the glass cut with a pattern of six arched panels centered diamond and divided by horizontal and vertical reeded bands. Height 3 ¾ in. (9.5 cm).
