A Fabergé diamond-set gilded silver and guilloché enamel bonbonnière, workmaster Feodor Afanasiev, St. Petersburg, 1908-1917. The circular box cushion form, the exterior enameled salmon pink over a moiré ground, the hinged lid centered with a gold ten ruble coin with profile portrait of Catherine II dated 1769 encircled by a band set with rose cut diamonds, with a leaf tip border and rose cut diamond set thumbpiece, the interior gilded. Struck with workmaster’s marks, Fabergé in Cyrillic, and 88 silver standard. Dia. 3 in. (7.6 cm).
