Description

A Fabergé gold charka, workmaster Erik Kollin, St. Petersburg, circa 1885, with original Fabergé scratched inventory number 64270. The gadrooned bowl centered with a two ruble coin from the period of Empress Elizaveta Petrovna (Elizabeth I) dated 1756, the split top of the elegant C-form handle mounted with a second coin, raised on ring foot protecting the fluted work as well as the underside of the coin in the base of the bowl. Struck with workmaster’s initials & 56 standard, also with French control mark. Length over handle: 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm). Weight: 45 grams.
