Enameled navy blue over a wavy engine-turned ground, surmounted by a cabochon moonstone pushpiece in a fluted gilded silver mount, a band of white champlevé enamel with gilt laurel berry band about the middle, the flaring base with three applied rosettes flanked by anthemia in Neoclassical taste, raised on three fluted bun feet, underside with original wood cover and with twisted cream silk cord. Struck with workmaster’s initials, Fabergé in Cyrillic, 88 standard, and Fabergé inventory number 57839. Height (4.2 cm). Dia. of base: 2 in. (5 cm).
