A Fabergé two-color gold-mounted silver and guilloché enamel étui-form cigarette case, workmaster Feodor Afanasiev, St. Petersburg, 1899-1903, with original Fabergé scratched inventory number 15117. Of upright oval section, enameled in pale blue over a wavy engine-turned ground, the upper and lower borders with chased chased husk leaf mounts in green gold, the opening with red gold mount set with seed pearls, with collet-set cabochon moonstone pushpiece. Struck with Fabergé in Cyrillic, workmaster’s initials, a 56 gold standard, and 88 silver standard. Height: 3 in. (7.6 cm).
