A Fabergé silver cigarette case, workmaster August Hollming, St. Petersburg, circa 1908-1917, with Fabergé scratched inventory number 20058. Of oval section, the exterior cast and chased with bands of laurel, symbol of military and athletic victory, separated by reeded bands, decorated with bands of engraved laurel leaves separated by reeded bands, the flush fitting cover with hinge disguised in the reeding, with narrow silver thumbpiece, the interior in a matte gilt finish. Struck with workmaster’s mark, Fabergé in Cyrillic, and 88 silver purity standard (916.6). Length: 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm).
