A Russian gilded silver and shaded cloisonne enamel kovsh, Ivan Saltykov, Moscow, circa 1896-1908. Of traditional oval form with hook handle, the kovsh decorated with scrolling multi-color floral and foliate motifs against a gilded stippled ground within a turquoise beaded border.
