A Russian porcelain oyster dish from the Banquet Service of Grand Duke Alexander Alexandrovich, Brothers Kornilov Factory, St. Petersburg, circa 1861-1884. Decorated with gilded latticework borders and foliate scrolls outlined in red relieved by the crowned monogram of Grand Duke Alexander Alexandrovich (the future Emperor Alexander III), the shaped handle molded with gilt anthemia, the underside with gilt foot and gilt factory mark. Length: 6 1/4 in. (16 cm).
