A Russian silver gilt and plique-à-jour enamel charka, Moscow, circa 1908-1917. The entire body and shaped flat handled decorated with an intricate scrolling multi-color plique-à-jour enamel pattern of flowerheads, scrolls, and harts in shades of lemon yellow, orange, green, lavender, and strawberry, the bowl with a border of pale blue blue beads, the rim with twist cable border. Struck with Moscow assay marks, 88 standard, apparently lacking maker’s marks, probably Ovchinnikov. Dimensions: 1 1/8 in. H x 3 1/8 in. L (3 x 7.8 cm).
