A Russian porcelain charger from the Winter Palace Service, made by the Imperial Porcelain Factory in ST Petersburg, Nicholas I period. The translucent white body is centered with the Russian crowned double headed eagle on outer rim. In the up-spread wings are seals of various Russian cities along with the shield of ST George against a red ground. Two gilded bands encircle the wide rim. Diameter: 13 7/8″ (35.4 cm). Condition: 2 rim chips, gilding worn.
