ARussian porcelain incense burner figure of a Turkish mansmoking a hookah, probably by the Novyi Brothers Manufactory,1830-1850. Realistically modeled as a standing man leaning on a palm, wearing a traditional costume & a yellow turban, on a square naturalistically painted base with two bundles in front, theshaped naturalistic base. The interior of the hookah & palm stand hollow & designed to hold an incense cone & exhaust through the man’s mouth. Height: 6 3/4″ (17.2 cm).
