A Russian silver gilt and champlevé enamel three piece coffee set, Antip Kuzmichev, Moscow, 1899-1908, retailed by Tiffany & Co. Comprising a coffee pot, open sugar, and creamer in a hybrid-Ottoman and Persian taste, the gadrooned bodies enameled with scrolling ornament in shades of cream, forest green, navy blue, turquoise, cinnamon, and white, the ornamental elements, outlined with chased or hatched ornament, all with scalloped upper borders and spreading circular foot, the handles with a chain of stylized tulips in green, aubergine, and white. All of the pieces of heavy gauge and good weight. Struck on the underside with maker’s mark, 88 standard, and struck Made for Tiffany & Co. Coffee pot: 8 3/4 in. h (22.1 cm), gross weight: 711 grams. Open sugar: 3 3/8 in. h x 5 1/2 in. width over handles (8.6 x 14 cm); gross weight: 343 grams. Creamer: 3 1/8 in. h (7.9 cm); gross weight 230 grams.
