A Russian trompe l’oeil silver mounted-glass vodka carafe with two vodka cups, unknown maker’s mark, ST Petersburg, 1886. The silver sleeve holding a frosted glass carafe with silver topped stopper and cover, together with two parcel vodka cups, all chased and engraved in imitation of woven rush basket, the sleeve with two rope twist hooks for suspending cups. Dimensions of carafe: 7 1/2 in. h x 4 3/8 in. wide over handles (19 x 11 cm). Heights of vodka cups: 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm) and 1 3/4″ (4.4 cm).
