A Russian silver trompe l’oeil covered caviar dish and underplate, Saint Petersburg, 1884. In the Russian style, the exteriors cast and chased as woven basketwork, the under plate engraved with a Cyrillic monogram KA dated 1885. Struck with Cyrillic initials PED of an unidentified silversmith (Postnikova-Loseva no. 1378). Weight 467 grams.
