A set of six Russian parcel gilt silver trompe l’oeil salts and spoons in fitted box, St. Petersburg, 1875. The flared salts engraved in imitation of wood half barrels, decorated in a wood half and with engraved monogram EWS, contained in fitted box of St. Petersburg retailer Grachev with a monogram and contained in a fitted box with a brass presentation plaque engraved ESW, 12 March 1850-1875 (probably a 25th anniversary gift). Struck with Cyrillic maker’s mark AB and 84 standard. Height of salts: 1 in. Length of spoons: 2 1/8 in.
