A Russian gilded silver and shaded cloisonné enamel serving spoon, Moscow, 1908-1917. Shaped as a traditional spoon of the 17th-century, the back of the round bowl enameled with a stylized tulip in shades of blue, peach, and red against a forest green ground, the border with stylized geometric and foliate ornament against pale blue and cream grounds, the twist handle with borders enameled in turquoise, navy, and translucent aubergine, the ball-shaped finial enameled with stylized leaves in conforming colors. Struck with Cyrillic initials NVM of an unidentified master (Postnikova-Loseva no. 2715).
