A group of eight telegrams in Russian & French sent by the Grand Duke & Tsesarevich Georgy Alexandrovich (1871-1899), then living in Abastumani to alleviate the symptoms of tuberculosis, to his French tutor Ferdinand Thormeyer in Saint Petersburg. The telegrams demonstrate the Grand Duke’s interest in photography & some of his other interests prior to his death in August 1899. Various sizes, about 7 x 9 1/4 in.
