A Norwegian gilded silver & plique-a-jour enamel lidded cut glass trinket or vanity box, apparently unmarked, circa 1900. The round cut glass box is fitted with a lid of translucent enamel in shades of red, blue, green, & pale violet enamel. The domed radiating ray design in violet is centered with a deep red six-petal enamel flower finial. Dimensions: 1 5/8 in. high x 2 in. diam. (4 x 5. cm).
