A Russianturquoise & pearl-set gold miniature pendant egg, circa 1900. Set with six cabochon turquoise centering a small pearl, all forming a blossom, with the stem & two leaves cast & polished. The larger suspension ring struck with obscured maker’s marks, 56 gold standard, & partial assayer’s initials, most likely Cyrillic YaL (ЯЛ) for Saint Petersburg district assayer Yakov Lyapunov active 1899-1904. Height including smaller suspension ring only: 5/8 in. (1.5 cm).
