A Russian gilded silver, plique-à-jour, & cloisonné enamel toasting cup, Ovchinnikov, Moscow, 1908-1917. Of tapering cylindrical form on a flared foot, the body made up of arched panels of multi-color stylized foliate motifs beneath a band of circular roundels, the rim & foot with shaded cloisonné floral bands, the base with a plique-a-journal panel with a brightly-colored flowerhead. Struck with maker’s mark & 84 silver standard (equivalent to to 875). Height: 5″ (12.7 cm).
