A Fabergé gold-mounted gilded silver & guilloché enamel cigarette case, workmaster August Hollming, St Petersburg, circa 1908-1916; the rounded rectangular body enameled translucent oyster white over a wavy engine-turned ground within reeded gold borders, finished with a gold thumbpiece set with rose-cut diamonds. Dimensions: 3 3/8 x 2 1/4 in. (8.6 x 5.7 cm).
Workmaster August Hollming retired in 1913, but his son Väinö Hollming took over his workshop & continued to work for Fabergé & produce objects using his father’s mark at least until 1916.
