A Fabergé silver gilt & guilloché enamel capstan-shaped desk clock, Moscow, ca. 1900. Enameled pale translucent lavender over a fish-scale engine-turned ground, the clock with white opaque enamel face, black Arabic chapters, pierced gold hands, & beaded bezel, the base with a border of a ribbon-tied laurel wreath, raised on ring foot, the underside struck K. Fabergé in Cyrillic with Imperial Warrant & with an ornate engraved Cyrillic inscription reading Nediel. Zav. (Недельный завод, describing a clock to be wound weekly), the exterior of the foot struck with a later French import mark. Dimensions: height 1 1/8 in. (2.8 cm), dia. of base 4 1/8 in. (10.5 cm), dia. at top 2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm).
