A Russian silver gilt & shaded cloisonné enamel kovsh, Feodor Ruckert, Moscow, 1899-1908. The traditional form kovsh enameled on the interior base with a stylized blossom & foliage against a forest green ground above scrolls of cinnamon brown & black, the interior walls with similar floral ornament against a pale celadon green ground further enhanced with reserve cells, the upper border of the interior & exterior with a checkerboard pattern of magenta, forest green, & birds’ egg blue, with cable border & polished gilt finial on the prow, the silver gilt surface exterior below the enamel band matted, the front engraved with the Cyrillic monogram ME, the top of the the shaped handle with conforming ornament. Struck with maker’s marks & obscured silver standard, also with scratched inventory number 2407. Length: 3 7/8 in. (9.8 cm).
