A Russian gilded silver, cloisonné, & pictorialenamel spoon, Ivan Saltykov, Moscow, circa 1890. The reverse of the egg-shape bowl painted en plein with a “veil” of flowering vines through which can be glimpsed a cozy cottage, contained within a band of turquoise enamel beads, the twist handle with mitre finial. Length: 5 in. (12.7 cm).
