A Norwegian gilded silver & plique-à-jour enamel cup, by Jacob Tostrup, circa 1900. The bowl of good weight & gauge, decorated extremely solid & heavy circular bowl is decorated with four colorful scrolling flowerheads in plique-à-jour enamel, the base of the interior with a Norse mythological vignette in high relief. Dimensions:1 1/2 in. h x 2 in. diameter (3.8 x 5.1 cm). Gross weight 63 grams.
