A Russian trompe l’oeil silver mounted-glass vodka carafe with two vodka cups, unidentified maker’s mark MHT, St. Petersburg, 1886. The silversleeve holding a frosted glass carafewith silver topped stopper & cover, together with two parcel vodka cups, all chased & engraved in imitation of woven rush basket, the sleeve with two rope twist hooks for suspending cups. Dimensions of carafe: 7 1/2 in. h x 4 3/8 in. wide over handles (19 x 11 cm). Heights of vodka cups: 1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm) & 1 3/4″ (4.4 cm).
