A Russian silver gilt & cloisonné enamel Easter egg with stands convertible to double egg cups, Nikolai Zverev, Moscow, 1899-1908. The exterior enameled with interlocking petal-shaped fields centered with colorful floral motifs against turquoise or royal blue grounds, with white beaded borders.The two-part egg conceals gilded feet enameled with conforming ornament that can be used to form a pair of egg cups. Struck with workmaster’s initials, 84 standard, & later Soviet control marks. Height (including foot): 2 1/2 in. (6.5 cm). Gross weight: 103.5 grams.
