A Fabergé gilded silver and guilloché enamel miniature photograph frame, workmaster Johan Viktor Aarne, St. Petersburg, 1899-1903. Rectangular, enameled a bright translucent yellow enamel over wavy engine-turned ground, the bezel dot and dash pattern and framing, the rectangular aperture enclosed with beveled glass, probably original, the outer border reeded, the back with hinged scrolled strut, in original fitted wood case, containing later photograph of Tsarevich Alexei as a young child. Height 2 1/4 in. (5.4 cm).
