A Russian porcelain cache pot made by the Imperial Porcelain Factory during the reign of Catherine II , circa 1762-1796. Of cylindrical form with two scrolling foliate gilt handles, the body finely painted with three rural views of a blacksmith, a peasant couple and a woman, the border painted with a trail of cornflowers. Dimensions: 4 3/8 in. h x 5 5/8 in. diam. (11.1 x 14.2 cm).
