A Russian silver gilt & shaded cloisonne enamel egg that separates to form a pair of egg cups, Nikolai Alekseev, Moscow, 1899-1908. The two-part egg separating to form a pair of egg cups, the exterior enameled with brightly-colored stylized floral motifs on a cream ground & scrolling filigree ornament on top & bottom against a red ground, the two halves with turquoise beaded borders. Struck with maker’s marks & 84 silver standard. Gross weight 91 grams. Height: 2″ (5.1 cm).
