A Faberge gold and brown jasper miniature pendant egg, workmaster Feodor Afanasiev, St. Petersburg, circa 1900. The brown jasper body set with the Imperial gold monogram for Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna (Daughter of Tsar Alexander III and the sister of Tsar Nicholas II). Struck on the bail with workmaster’s mars and 56 Russian standard gold (14k equivalent).

Provenance: Grand Duchess Xenia gifted the miniature pendant egg to Lieutenant Colonel Otto Viktor Appelgren (1890-1958), then by descent.
