A beautiful Russian gilded silver and guilloche enamel cigarette case, workmaster Ivan Britzin, St. Peterburg, circa 1899-1908. Of rectangular form, the case decorated in translucent opalescent white enamel over an unique wavy sunburst ground, gilded interior. Struck in the interior with workmaster’s marks and 88 Russian silver standard. Dimensions: 2 1/8 x 3 1/2 inches.
