The center of the plate with a profile portrait of Stalin above sprigs of oak & laurel leaves, the rim with flowers, laurel leaves & banners in red, green & gilt, inscribed 70/21-XII/1949, the lower border with the Cyrillic inscription Glory to Great Stalin! The reverse with the factory’s stamped mark & an overglaze signature of the artist Rodionov. Diameter: 13 3/8 in. (34 cm).
