A Norwegian gilded silver and plique-à-jour enamel spoon, Jacob Tostrup, circa 1900. The oval bowl with engraved borders and front and back , the top of the handle with a square frame with a stylized flower in lemon yellow plique-à-jour enamel between fields of translucent purple and green, the handle similarly enameled in diamonds of translucent lemon yellow and purple within green borders, the disk terminal with a stylized flowerhead in a conforming range of colors. Struck with Tostrup’s “mug” style maker’s mark and the 925 silver standard.
