An extremely rare Faberge two-color gold mounted, ruby and carved agate figural kovsh, workmaster Michael Perchin, St. Petersburg, circa 1890-1895. The gold handle formed as an elephant with upturned trunk, fitted with cabochon ruby eyes, mounted to a beautifully carved striated agate bowl. Struck on the elephant’s ears with the workmaster’s marks and the 56 standard gold (14k equivalent) assay mark for St. Petersburg. Dimensions: 3 x 4 x 1.87 in.
