A Russian silver gilt, cloisonné & plique-à-jour enamel bud vase, Antip Kuzmichev, Moscow, circa 1895. Decoration in Egyptian-inspired ornament, the horn-shaped vase on a spreading foot, the exterior enameled with stylized lotus blossoms in turquoise blue, navy, white, & red, the body pierced & enameled with brightly colored translucent enamels in plique-à-jour, including blossoms & fan-shaped bands of fish-scale ornament around the upper rim. Struck with maker’s mark & 88 silver standard. Height: 3 5/8 in. (9.3 cm).
