A Fabergé silver cigarette case, workmaster August Hollming, St. Petersburg, circa 1908-1917, with Fabergé scratched inventory number 20058. Of oval section, the exterior cast & chased with bands of laurel, symbol of military & athletic victory, separated by reeded bands, the flush fitting cover with hinge disguised in the reeding, with narrow silver thumbpiece, the interior in a matte gilt finish. Struck with workmaster’s mark, Fabergé in Cyrillic, & 88 silver purity standard (916.6). Length: 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm).
