A pair of Austrian gilded silver & plique-a-jour enamel miniature photograph frames, Georg Adam Scheid, Vienna, circa 1890. The oval frames applied with a border of blue flowers & green foliage in plique-a-jour enamel connected with a band of fine gilded silver cables; the shaped strut similarly decorated with blue flowerheads, a red tulip, & green foliage in plique-a-jour & scrolling gilded silver cablework. Struck with workmaster’s initials & the Austro-Hungarian hallmark for small silver articles assayed in Vienna. Dimensions: 1 5/8 in. h x 1 3/8 in. w (4.3 x 3.5 cm).
